What is a Second Opinion?

Second opinion is asking your doctor to evaluate your medical results by another doctor about your disease or complaint that is diagnosed by your doctor, or to have another doctor review your own doctor’s treatment plan.
With our second opinion system, whether you live in our country or in any other country in the world, you can evaluate your medical records and radiological imaging examinations with a second eye and get detailed expert opinion on your diagnosis and treatment plan without any need to meet in person.
Today, people want to get a quick and reliable second opinion for themselves or a relative before a surgery or medical treatment and answer the questions in their mind.

How can I apply for a second opinion?

First of all, you must sign in the system and log in.
Choose the doctor you want to get a second opinion from after you signed in.
After the doctor has been selected, you will be asked some medical questions, be attentive to answer the questions completely and correctly.
After answering the questions, copy your CD, DVD or medical examination images (MRI, tomography, etc.) and reports on your computer by creating a new folder on your computer desktop.
Compress the file into a zip folder (rar or zip). (You can use winrar or winzip etc.) You can then upload this file to our system.
After the file upload is complete, you can complete your application by going to the payment page.

How Long Will it take for The CD, DVD or Reports I Sent to Result?

Your documents and / or images that reach the relevant doctor without any problem through the Secondoctors system are resulted within 24 hours.
You can access your second opinion via the system by logging in to the system, and when your second opinion application is ready, the system will automatically inform you via your e-mail address.

Can We Apply For All Diseases?

In cases of acute illness, accident, injury, brain and spinal cord injuries, traumas, loss of consciousness, severe burns, chest pain, vomiting and similar situations, it is not appropriate to get a second doctor’s opinion within the first 24 hours following the occurrence of emergency situations that require immediate medical intervention.
If you have such symptoms, we recommend that you apply to the emergency services of hospitals as soon as possible.

Can Other Doctors / People See My Image and Information?

In accordance with the patient rights and the Personal Data Protection Law, unless you give your consent, other physicians or second parties can’t see your images, reports or personal information in the system.

Can Your Doctors Write Prescriptions?

In cases where physical examination can’t be performed, in accordance with the relevant legislation and Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), our doctors will only be able to provide you with appropriate medical information, guidance and advice. Can We Apply on Behalf of Others? According to the relevant laws, you can’t apply on behalf of another person without the knowledge and consent of the patient of legal age. Secondoctors officials will verify these submissions from the patient. If the patient has no knowledge or consent, all relevant posts will be immediately deleted from the system.
Only parents can apply for pediatric patients. Secondoctors.com and its doctors can’t be held responsible for the legal process that may occur in this regard.

How Are Pricing And Payments Made?

Pricing depends on the department that is related to your illness and your choice of professor, associate professor or specialist doctor. You can choose any of the existing physicians under the heading of departments, upload relevant reports and images to the system and request a second opinion.
You can make your payment through the 3D Secure payment infrastructure we use, using Debit Card, Credit Card or EFT / Money Transfer methods.

How does the Pricing and Invoice Process works?

You can send a message to the live chat section at the bottom right of the page to get fee information and you will be informed about the fees as soon as possible. After payment, your invoice will be sent to your registered e-mail address.
